On-device processing
Names, comments and SSH keys are processed locally and stored in the device-bound Keychain. Optional drawing input is transient and is not stored persistently. There is no app account, backend, tracking, advertising or analytics SDK. Informatik Baums receives no key or gesture data. Device authentication returns only a result, not biometric data.
Export and deletion
Export requires an explicit action and private keys require additional device authentication. The private clipboard is device-local, excluded from Universal Clipboard and expires after 60 seconds; other apps may read it before expiration.
For password-protected file export the selected provider receives only an encrypted PKCS#8 file. Password and plaintext are not saved as files. The selected provider may process account and connection data under its own terms, possibly outside the EU. Informatik Baums does not select a cloud provider for the user.
Keys can be deleted individually or together in the app. External copies and server-side public keys are unaffected. There is no recovery service. Uninstalling the app does not necessarily delete Keychain entries.
Website, Apple and support
These app webpages contain no analytics scripts, third-party embeds or own cookies. IONOS processes necessary hosting connection data as described in the website privacy notice (German). Apple processes store and purchase data under its own privacy terms. The app has no separate payment service.
Voluntary support emails are processed to answer requests: GDPR Article 6(1)(b) for contractual matters, otherwise Article 6(1)(f), based on legitimate business communication interests. IONOS provides email services. Messages are deleted after resolution unless retention duties or specific evidential/legal-defense interests require longer storage. Necessary information is voluntary, but a request may not be answerable without it. Never send private keys or passwords.
Your rights
Subject to legal conditions you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability. You may object to legitimate-interest processing based on your particular situation, withdraw consent prospectively and complain to a supervisory authority, including LDI North Rhine-Westphalia. The app performs no automated decision-making with legal effects or profiling.
Language
These app pages offer five languages. Only the general entry page may read browser language preferences locally and open a matching language page. Direct language links stay unchanged. No IP geolocation, cookies or stored language profiles; manual selection is retained in the URL. The legal notice and general website privacy notice remain in German.
